Trivia

I'm finally having a rather slow day at the office. Perhaps I'll leave a bit early and go for a run.

Happy Birthday

I discovered a cool place for bar trivia last night. My new roommate and upstairs neighbors and I went to the Newtowne Pub in Porter Square. Good variety of categories, question formats, and difficulty. Prizes aren't spectacular but the beer's pretty cheap.

Our team came in third. The winning team was called Kaiser Soze; we couldn't figure out who they were.

We'll probably go again next Thursday if anyone wants to join us.

I was psyched that I knew the answer to one obscure question: "The capital of the United States is named after George Washington. Who is the only other U.S. President to have a national capital named after him?"

Does anyone know?

I believe James Monroe is the namesake of Monrovia, Liberia. What's behind door #3? ;)

Cool! Can you fly up to help us beat Kaiser Soze next week?

The feasibility of that depends on the cash value of what's behind door #3. :)

Oh no, actually, next Thursday is the first Patriots game. You'd have a hard time prying me away from that even if we still lived together!
